First Chapter Books

First Chapter Books

Here are books to hand to sturdy readers who have progressed beyond leveled easy readers.
Many also make good choices for reading aloud to children, ages 4-8-ish.

Some of the older titles have very dated covers, but please don’t misjudge them!
