The Book With No Pictures, by B.J. Novak
published in 2014 by Dial Books for Young Readers
No joke.
This book has no pictures.
Sound boring?
If you know the name B.J. Novak, you know it is not boring. Instead, it’s one of the funniest books on the market for kids ages 2 or 3 and up.
That’s because books have rules. And the rule is, the reader has to read Every Single Word in the book. Even if the book says Extremely Ridiculous things, the adult reading the book to you HAS to say them. Mm-hmmm.
This is comedy to make young children scream with laughter. Novak hits their funny bone precisely on the mark. Follow this link to watch him read it to a crowd of schoolchildren who quickly dissolve into squeals of merriment.

It’s a genre-breaking book and a happy piece of brilliance you don’t want to miss. Just don’t attempt to read it in Quiet Please zones 🙂

I’m Stan. And I’m Ollie. And we approve of this book.
